About the role
As the Director, Construction, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future by delivering projects that enable growth, enhance customer experience, and maximize investment value. You’ll lead the execution of new stores, remodels, and strategic initiatives with a focus on speed, quality, and long-term business impact.
What you'll bring
- Develop and document all required agreements and notices.
- Reviews lease agreements as required to assist the Real Estate, Lease Administration, and Facilities departments in construction-related items and issues.
- Reviews contractors’ insurance certificates for conformance with company and contract requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in either Architecture or Construction Management or a related field (experience would be considered in lieu of the college degree)
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing a construction team in multi-unit retail environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize these tasks, and follow through to ensure timely results
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Analytical skills both mathematical and problem solving
- Experience with project bidding, negotiations, budgeting, planning, and project management is required
