About the role

Leidos is seeking an innovative, hands-on Senior Software Engineer to support the Chinook program supporting an Intelligence Community (IC) customer. In this role, you'll help design, build, and enhance modern web and mobile applications that provide users with reliable access to information and services supporting national security objectives.

What you'll bring

• Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination.
• ·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.
• May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• ·        5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining modern web and mobile applications.
• ·        Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, HTML, and CSS for front-end development and Python and Django for backend services and RESTful APIs.
• ·        Experience with Wagtail CMS or comparable content management frameworks and PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
• ·        Experience developing cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and iOS SDKs.
• ·        Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS, including familiarity with S3, ECS, RDS, CloudFront, and Application Load Balancers (ALB).
• ·        Experience with Docker, Git-based source control, GitLab, and CI/CD development and deployment practices.
• ·        Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts, including deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications in cloud environments.
• ·        Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, including facilitating Scrum ceremonies, supporting sprint execution, removing impediments, and contributing hands-on software development.
