The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) supports the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The LVN provides nursing care, administers medications and treatments, monitors individuals for changes in their physical or behavioral condition, and advocates for their health and quality of life in accordance with their Individual Program Plan. The LVN works collaboratively with administrators, physicians, direct support professionals, behavioral health professionals, and other members of the care team to ensure individuals receive appropriate and person-centered care.
What you'll bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
- DSP I and DSP II certificates.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- At least one year of experience supporting adults
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- At least six months of experience working as an LVN in a residential care facility or similar setting preferred.
- Experience with medication administration, G-tube care, injections, wound care, and other nursing procedures preferred.
