Form Energy is hiring a Staff Test Engineer to join our Systems Test organization. In this role you will be the technical anchor and operational lead for major, pack-level integrated test assets. You will be deeply accountable for the test planning, operationalization, execution, and reporting of these assets. The ideal candidate pairs rigorous technical depth and first-principles thinking with the leadership required to align cross-functional teams, manage high-stakes operations, and mentor growing engineers and technicians. What you'll bring
- 8+ years of experience in systems test engineering, integration testing, or hardware validation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Deep familiarity with battery management systems (BMS), high/low voltage wiring harnesses, sensors (thermal, pressure, fluid), and electro-mechanical actuators.
- Experience with high-power industrial systems, thermal management systems, or fluidics.
- Proficiency with test automation frameworks (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB/Simulink) and data analysis pipelines.
- Familiarity with network protocols standard to industrial and automotive systems (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving hardware startup environment
