About the role
Trane is hiring for a Regional Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for hardware and software design activities for building automation systems.
What you'll bring
- Previous HVAC industry knowledge such as Technician, project management, or estimating; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience or aptitude for construction and design.
- Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Construction or Engineering Technology, or other related areas
- or three (3) plus years of experience in the HVAC industry performing project management or estimating roles; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Windows operating system and Microsoft Office product knowledge.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and network architecture
- Experience with CAD program
- Must have the ability to work as part of a team and must be able to work in a structured environment and maintain well organized records.
- Ability to help guide Controls Team to expected design requirements and provides hand off as (applicable).
- Supports Account Managers in developing and establishing project installation budgets and preparing the sub-contractor request for quotation’s (RFQ) including scope statements
