  • This highly visible role within the F135 Sustainment Program Management Office (SPMO) is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of configuration optimization across the F135 fleet.
  • The Sustainment Configuration Manager will oversee how new engine components, assemblies, and modules are introduced into the fleet and how legacy configurations are retired.
  • This position plays a critical role in product sustainment by engaging in engineering cold‑starts, supporting component improvements, and ensuring timely and clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical leadership, risk management, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in (STEM) Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • 12 years of engineering or an Advanced degree with 10 years of engineering experience
  • Strong systems engineering background with proven technical acumen
