About the role

Microchip has an opportunity on the compressed Back Night shift for a  Production Superviso r at our Fab 4 facility in Gresham, Oregon. This position is responsible for staffing, supervising and developing non-exempt employees in a clean room manufacturing environment. The Production Supervisor sets and monitors WIP priorities to meet production goals and continuously improve upon production systems. They must also support Microchip's Guiding Values while monitoring, evaluating and providing performance feedback to Production Specialists.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of supervisory (direct and/or direct lead) experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Must demonstrate effective leadership skills, particularly in the performance management and career development of Production Specialists
• Ability to resolve conflicts, meet deadlines, manage production activities and effectively multi-task
• Knowledgeable in employee engagement and team building skills
• Knowledge of professional ethics, including confidentiality policy
• Creative thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong organization, documentation and writing skills
• Effective communicator to a wide range of groups, including written, oral, public speaking and presentation skills
• Regular and predictable attendance
• May need to attend work related meetings on unscheduled days
