About the role
The Senior Director, North America Marketing to join Columbia Sportswear, one of the global leaders in outerwear and recently named one of the Top 10 most creative brands in the world. You’ll be responsible for building brand relevance, driving consumer demand and delivering integrated marketing strategies across the United States and Canada for the Columbia brand. Columbia Sportswear takes its marketing as seriously as we take our gear. Everything we do is in support of our brand idea: that we make the best gear on the market for whatever mother nature can throw at you. We’re looking for a strategic leader for the North America region, reporting directly to our SVP & Global Head of Marketing. This leader will lead brand activation and communications across PR, partnerships, retail & wholesale marketing, working closely with our Sr. Director of Performance Marketing. This role is an opportunity to lead the next phase of the Columbia brand for North America as we accelerate to even greater heights in our mission to be the no.1 brand in the outdoors globally. We’re looking for someone strategic, smart and tough as a pair of Bugaboots, with as much energy as the Amazepuff Jacket
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of progressively responsible marketing leadership experience, including responsibility for large-scale regional or enterprise marketing programs.
- 10+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers and senior leaders.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels and consumer touchpoints.
- Broad industry knowledge, commercial acumen, and experience influencing strategic business decisions.
- Experience managing significant budgets and optimizing investment decisions to achieve business objectives.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive outcomes across a complex matrixed organization.
- Ability to anticipate market shifts and develop forward-looking strategies that position the business for long-term success.
- Ability to travel as business needs require.
- Desire to touch grass (or sand or snow) and enjoy Mother’s Nature adventures and misadventures.
