About the role
Our Facility Security Unit (FSU) is currently hiring multiple Facility Security Officers (FSOs). As an FSO you will be one of the first staff members to welcome people into the various facilities we serve, and will be responsible for keeping our facilities, staff, and community members safe. You will be responsible for an assigned post where your duties will include but are not limited to; regulation of access to County facilities and facilitating a safe and secure space for County business to be conducted. : Please be advised that the pay range listed for this position is intended to provide general guidance on the earning potential for the role. However, actual compensation will be determined in accordance with the Oregon Equal Pay Law and will take into account factors such as the candidate's relevant experience and education. Candidates should expect that initial offers will be made within the listed pay range and may not be at or near the top of the range.
What you'll bring
- Minimum of two (2) years combination of work/volunteer experience, military service and/or post high school education.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid driver’s license by first day of employment.
- Must pass a criminal records and employment references check.

- Additional training or experience in public safety, law enforcement, building security or a social service related field (i.e. experience as a police reserve and/or college level course work in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, or communications).
