About the role
This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance. If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Also, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
What you'll bring
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Extensive journey-level work experience and abilities with low-voltage systems and equipment, including experience with construction, test equipment, tools, and/or maintenance.
- Technical, administrative, and supervisory skills and experience including independent decision making, workload scheduling, labor utilization, implementation of policies and procedures, execution of disciplinary action, and completion of performance appraisals.
- Intermediate experience providing direction and adjusting work activities to meet changing requirements as well as motivate, train, develop, and provide guidance with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Advanced skills in the application of Federal, State, and local safety policies, laws, and regulations.
- Advanced interpersonal and written communication experience to be able to collaborate effectively with all levels of technical, administrative, and management personnel.
- Proficiency using personal computers and software, including the ability to analyze data, prepare, and present reports.
- Ability to work scheduled and emergency overtime work, including off-hours on-call rotation, and be able to work all shifts and in all buildings and areas of the Laboratory, including Site 300.
- Valid California Driver’s License required.
