Cook for The Chateau of Long Beach! ($500 Sign On Bonus) The Chateau of Long Beach is an assisted living facility catered to the elderly community ages (60+) located in Long Beach, CA. Qualifications (non-negotiable): • Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by Community Care Licensing • Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening • High school diploma or GED required • Experience in an assisted living environment preferred • Flexible scheduling. Position may include weekends and holidays Job Description: • Prepare and serve food to residents in our community • Ensure all special dietary needs are met and preparing texture modified food as directed • Ensure compliance with all record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements • Train new kitchen aide and other staff on proper cooking routines and kitchen procedures • Follow facility menu and maintain portion control as directed by dietitian • Identify and develop new initiatives and areas of improvements to better serve our residents • Order, receive, verify and sign for groceries and deliveries • Maintain and appropriately handle facility food budgets • Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and dining room utensils, informing Administrator of any challenges or safety hazards • Attend all monthly in-services and facility staff meetings obtaining proper documentation of each meeting or training • Be fully aware of individual resident likes, dislikes and health restrictions • Supervise food production for quality of products and service • Prepare and enforce daily, weekly and monthly kitchen cleaning schedules to maintain compliance with safety and health restrictions We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full time employees including medical, dental, vision.
