About the role

As the Senior Cost Accountant at True Anomaly, you will be a key contributor to the accuracy and integrity of program costs across the business. Sitting at the intersection of Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, you will own the end-to-end process for non-labor program costs by ensuring they are complete, accurate, and flowing correctly through our systems. This role partners closely with business and finance stakeholders to build scalable cost accounting processes from the ground up, with strong ownership of the inventory process to drive process compliance with relevant stakeholders. We are looking for a reliable problem solver who wants to dig in, design the processes, and take full ownership of cost data within the general ledger. What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with a focus on project, cost, or program accounting
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, with experience in cost accounting principles and project based cost structures
  • Demonstrated experience owning inventory accounting processes and working cross functionally with supply chain and operations
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional problem solving skills, high degree of ownership, and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to convey cost and financial information clearly to nonfinancial stakeholders including program managers and operations leaders
  • CPA or CMA a plus
  • Experience with government contract accounting, FAR/CAS standards, and DCAA compliance is a plus
  • Previous Aerospace and Defense experience a plus
  • Prior NetSuite experience preferred
