About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to help design and deploy next-generation energy systems at the intersection of power infrastructure, battery energy storage, and distributed energy resources (DERs). This role is ideal for someone who understands the intent behind electrical codes, not just the letter, and can thoughtfully navigate compliance while enabling innovation. You’ll work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment where new ideas move quickly from concept to deployment. If you’re energized by solving complex power challenges and pushing technical boundaries responsibly, this is the role for you. You’ll shape how we build and scale engineering as one of the earliest senior engineers on the team.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in power systems, energy storage, renewables, or related fields
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its real-world application
- Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar PV, microgrids, or other DERs
- Hands-on experience with electrical panel design, including layout, component selection, and integration into larger power systems
- Proficiency in power system analysis tools
- Proficiency in industry-standard electrical CAD tools
- Experience working with utilities and navigating interconnection processes
- Demonstrated ability to develop engineering processes, standards, or best practices
- Ability to interpret codes pragmatically and propose compliant, forward-thinking solutions
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Familiarity with UL 508A or similar panel standards
