About the role
To guide the business effectively, this role requires evaluating Netflix’s merchandising strategy across new and emerging content types, tracking market dynamics and competitor trends, and understanding how changes to the member experience impact engagement, discovery, and growth. As an individual contributor Manager on this team, you will be the dedicated F&S business partner for two of the fastest-moving areas in Product Merchandising: New Content Exploration (NCE) and New Content Experiences (NCX), both of which are responsible for bringing emerging content types - including games, live events, podcasts - to life on the Netflix platform. We are seeking candidates who bring strong analytical rigor, product intuition, and the ability to operate with confidence in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. The ideal candidate will have a track record of partnering directly with product managers and operational and/or creative teams, proactively identifying & conducting in-depth analyses for novel business cases, and synthesizing complex data into clear recommendations for senior leadership. Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity, a strong ownership mindset, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-moving environment.
What you'll bring
- 8+ years of experience in highly strategic and product-facing roles
- Experience working directly with product managers or embedded in product teams
- able to translate roadmap priorities into financial frameworks and earn credibility in PM-led conversations
- Strong financial acumen and comfort building models from scratch for novel business cases where prior benchmarks don’t exist
- Strong proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets, Google Slides, Tableau, SQL, and emerging AI tools (e.g., Claude)
- Familiarity with streaming, media, or consumer entertainment — understanding of how emerging content types (short-form video, live events, interactive formats) differ in their unit economics and growth dynamics
- Collaborative team member with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to drive complex cross-functional outcomes
