About the role
Apex Companies is looking for a Stormwater Maintenance Foreman to oversee stormwater maintenance activities throughout Arlington County while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to protecting critical infrastructure and the environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on stormwater or construction experience who wants to take the next step in their career. You'll have the autonomy to manage your daily schedule, oversee subcontractors, work on innovative green infrastructure systems, and play a key role in maintaining some of the region's most important stormwater assets. As the Stormwater Maintenance Foreman, you'll manage day-to-day field operations across approximately 50-75 sites containing more than 150 stormwater assets.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of stormwater, environmental field, heavy civil, construction, or related experience.
- Experience maintaining or inspecting stormwater management facilities or green infrastructure systems.
- Current VDEQ Stormwater Inspector Certification (required).
- Experience coordinating field crews or subcontractors.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to prepare field documentation and reports.
- Equivalent hands-on experience is highly valued.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
