About the role
Responsibilities: • Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer • Installs trench boxes as necessary • Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures • Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed • Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals • Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job • Manage quality control and production • Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner Requirements: • Ability access secured facilities • Ability to operate large excavators with precision • High attention to detail Physical Requirements: • Employee must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.). • Regularly required to sit and stand, must be able to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and verbally communicate and listen. • Other physical requirements include walking, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. • Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
