About the role
Behind every strong finance team is a solid accounting foundation. What's the Role? We're looking for an Operations Accountant , to help ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial information across multiple business units. From month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations to accounting entries and financial controls, you'll play a key role in supporting financial reporting and maintaining the accounting foundations that help the business operate effectively. The Operations Accountant works closely with Business Finance and Accounting teams to support reporting activities, resolve accounting issues, improve processes, and maintain compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys problem-solving, taking ownership of their work, and finding ways to improve how finance gets done.
What you'll bring
- 3–5 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze data, identify issues, and support process improvements.
- Solid communication skills and ability to effectively tailor messageing for different audiences.
- Comfortable using technology and digital tools to improve efficiency and workflows.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Curious, adaptable, and motivated to continuously improve processes and ways of working.
- Experience with OneStream, NetSuite, Costpoint, or other ERP systems is considered an asset.
- Understanding of contract-based accounting environments and basic IFRS principles is considered an asset.
