About the role
The HR Generalist will support the successful delivery of the Pearson Accelerator Construction Team (PACT) program by providing human resources, employee relations, onboarding, training, and workforce administration support across multiple project teams and partner organizations. Reporting to the HR Lead, this role will work closely with project leadership, Health & Safety, and employees to ensure a positive employee experience while supporting compliance, workforce planning, reporting, and talent initiatives. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting a large, multi-employer infrastructure program operating within Toronto Pearson Airport and will contribute to the continued growth and success of one of Canada's largest airport infrastructure projects.
What you'll bring
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- CHRP designation completed or in progress is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, employment standards, human rights legislation, and workplace investigations.
- Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and workforce administration activities.
- Experience working within fast-paced and complex project environments.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with employees, leaders, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain RAIC clearance.
