About the role

The Active Older Adult (AOA) Coordinator is responsible for the smooth and effective delivery of programs and services for older adults iin the branch and in its off-site community program locations. Responsibilities include planning, marketing, delivering, and evaluating effective educational, cultural, artistic and social activities, trips, and special events.

What you'll bring

• · High school diploma or equivalent required
• · Minimum 1 year experience in program development.
• · Minimum 1 year experience in working with active older adult groups
• · Experience in creating and organizing activities for the senior population.
• · Certification in CPR at the level of Basic Life Support or Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration and associated-determined safety training required within 30 days of hire
• · Must complete Orientation to Healthy Living, and job specific technical training within 90 days of hire.
• · Required to attend two in-service trainings per year.
• Maintain all required certifications
• · Be customer service focused and willing to go the extra mile.
• · Ability to work collaboratively with other departments within the organization and surrounding communities.
• · Demonstrate effective public speaking ability and group leadership skills.
• · Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
