About the role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to support the Command Management & Security (CM&Sec) function within a high-security defence environment. This role will be responsible for defining and evolving service delivery strategy, technical architecture, and DevSecOps adoption across a complex portfolio of mission-critical applications. The successful candidate will operate at both a strategic and technical level, ensuring solutions align with operational requirements, cyber security priorities, and constrained deployment environments (including shipboard and low-bandwidth scenarios). What you'll bring
- 5+ years experience as a Technical Architect
- College diploma or University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related discipline
- Proven experience developing: • Technology architectures and roadmaps
- Risk assessments and security frameworks
- Technology adoption and sustainability strategies
- Experience analyzing: • Application architecture security elements
- Risks and vulnerabilities with recommended safeguards
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including: • CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and/or Azure DevOps
- Integration of development, acquisition, and operations workflows
- Experience applying ITIL Service Value Chain principles
- Experience defining and tracking portfolio performance metrics and analytics
- Experience working in defence, government, or high-security environments
