Pay for this position is $18.50 hourly. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated workweek. Our Temporary Ballot Couriers perform the essential job of retrieving ballots from Ballot Drop Boxes and securely delivering them to our central warehouse for processing. The Temporary Ballot Courier position is a temporary assignment with Maricopa County before, during, and after the election cycle.

What you'll bring

• Must be a registered voter or have the ability to become a registered voter in the State of Arizona by the time of hire
• Position may require the use of a county vehicle, which will require a valid driver’s license, and attendance in Maricopa County’s Defensive Driving Course
• Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
• Must pass an applicable background screening
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary
• Applicants must completely and fully answer any questions regarding felony and misdemeanor convictions including any convictions that have been expunged or set aside.
