About the role
The Maintenance Mechanic II is a senior-level role responsible for advanced mechanical maintenance, complex troubleshooting, and high-level repair of production and facility systems. This technician is expected to diagnose root causes, perform precision rebuilds, lead preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, deeper technical expertise, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. This position is responsible for the installation and repair of various plant operating systems. Primary duties include:
What you'll bring
- · High school diploma or equivalent required.
- · Technical degree, trade school certification
- · 5+ years industrial mechanical maintenance experience
- · Demonstrated expertise with mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, drive systems, conveyor technology, and packaging machinery.
- · Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
- · Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLC diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- · Advanced skill in machine repair, fabrication, welding, machining, and precision alignment.
- · Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or lead small groups.
- · Must be safety conscious, follow OSHA regulations, and comply with all GMP and Food Safety standards.
- · Ability to operate forklifts, hoists, aerial lifts, and other industrial equipment.
- or advanced industrial maintenance coursework strongly preferred.
