About the role
The Clinician II will work to address the unique needs of individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in our Habilitative Skill Building (HSB) Program in Tacoma, WA. Individuals receiving services are adults with often times multiple diagnoses and present with significant challenging behaviors. Many individuals supported in the HSB program have transitioned out of more restrictive settings, such as residential habilitation centers, state hospitals, correctional facilities, and diversion programs. Supported individuals may also be part of the WA Community Protection Program and may have criminal backgrounds requiring increased clinical support in order to thrive in a community setting.
What you'll bring
- Must have a master's degree in psychology, behavior analysis, mental health, special education, social work, or other related discipline
- 2+ years of professional experience with individuals with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD) is required
- Relevant experience in designing and implementing support plans for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and/or challenging behaviors
- Experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred
