About the role

The Chemical Engineer for Voyager Technologies is responsible for supporting the establishment of a new chemical manufacturing facility by specifying, procuring, designing, building, testing, and commissioning chemical process equipment. The position reports to the Chief Engineer and is part of the Chemicals and Explosives Team. This is an on-site role based in Penrose, CO, with a shift to Pueblo, CO, expected within the next year.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related discipline OR 4+ years of experience in chemical engineering in lieu of a degree
• Experience taking a process through design, testing, iteration, and scale-up
• Experience executing a project on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards
• Working knowledge of mass and energy balances, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics
• Working knowledge of common unit operations employed in chemical manufacturing
• Ability to communicate effectively through written, verbal, and presentation channels while explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Travel up to 15%, including the possibility of overnights, particularly to Minden, Louisiana area
• Exposure to heat, cold, and unconditioned manufacturing spaces
• Eligible to obtain and maintain State and Federal explosives licenses, including
