About the role

New Brunswick Counseling Center (NBCC) is seeking a reliable and professional   MMU Delivery Driver/Security   to support our Mobile Medication Unit (MMU) program. This position plays a vital role in ensuring safe, consistent, and stable operations through direct service support to clients and staff. The MMU Driver/Security is responsible for the safe transportation of Mobile Medication Unit staff, maintaining a secure environment, and supporting outreach and engagement efforts in the community. This individual will also assist in establishing and maintaining a safe milieu around the Mobile Unit, including ensuring all vehicle safety systems are operational and performing routine security and safety checks. Responsibilities: • Safely operate the MMU vehicle to transport staff to all service locations and client service sites • Ensure safe and professional transport of staff and support wraparound service delivery • Maintain a visible, professional security presence to promote safety and prevent escalation of conflicts • Conduct routine vehicle safety checks, including alarms and security systems, ensuring proper functionality • Assist with setup and breakdown/cleanup of the Mobile Medication Unit • Maintain cleanliness, readiness, and general upkeep of the vehicle • Patrol and monitor the area surrounding the MMU to ensure safety and prevent loitering or unsafe activity • Prevent unauthorized parking or disruption near the MMU service area • Respond to requests for assistance or protection from staff and clients • De-escalate potentially dangerous or disruptive situations when needed • Maintain respectful, non-judgmental, and professional interactions with clients, staff, and community partners • Communicate effectively with internal staff, service providers, and community stakeholders • Maintain accurate mileage, maintenance, and activity logs as required • Submit required documentation, incident reports, and program statistics in a timely manner • Report incidents involving violence, theft, property damage, injuries, or unusual occurrences in writing • Follow all traffic laws and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations at all times • Maintain compliance with all agency policies and procedures • Following all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA, to ensure patient confidentiality Required Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED is required • Possess geographical knowledge of service area • Valid NJ driver’s license and clean driving record • Ability to drive for long periods of time • Good time management and communication skills Schedule: Flexible part-time (15- 20 hrs. per week)shifts (weekday mornings/afternoons, occasional weekends)
