About the role

This role owns the end-to-end service parts ecosystem, ensuring parts availability, efficient logistics flow, scalable warehouse operations, optimized transportation networks, and a commercially strong parts business that supports long-term Aftersales growth. Providing strategic direction and operational leadership across parts logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, inventory flow, supplier performance, service parts commercialization, pricing, margin management, and business performance. The Director will be accountable for building and scaling the operating model required to support Scout Motors’ Aftersales launch and long-term direct-to-consumer service strategy. Residing in New York City : This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, supply chain operations, service parts operations, service parts, parts business management, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of leadership experience managing managers, cross-functional teams, suppliers, vendors, and complex operational functions.
  • Strong understanding of service parts operations, aftermarket parts distribution, transportation management, warehouse operations, inventory management, pricing strategy, margin management, parts lifecycle, and parts commercialization.
  • Proven experience leading logistics and operations in a high-growth, launch, startup, automotive, manufacturing, aftermarket, or service parts environment.
  • Experience managing third-party logistics providers, transportation carriers, warehouse service providers, packaging suppliers, and strategic supplier relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to own business performance, including budget management, cost optimization, revenue growth, profitability, operational KPIs, and executive-level reporting.
  • Experience implementing, integrating, or optimizing ERP, WMS, TMS, planning tools, reporting platforms, and supply chain technology solutions.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, problem-solving, financial acumen, and decision-making skills.
