What you'll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in thermoplastics manufacturing
• Proficiency with CAD software
• Knowledge of manufacturing scale-up, process optimization, SPC, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
• This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. federal government contracts that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.
• Hexcel (NYSE: HXL) is a global leader in advanced composites technology, a leading producer of carbon fiber, and the world leader in honeycomb manufacturing for the commercial aerospace industry.
• Experience with tooling design, mold flow analysis, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) strongly preferred.
• Experience with cost modeling, quoting, manufacturing routing, and BOM management strongly preferred.
• with profile extrusion and/or twin-screw compounding experience strongly preferred.
• SolidWorks experience strongly preferred.
