Axcelis Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager I to lead a talented team of engineers developing advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership, people development, and product execution while helping deliver innovative systems used by the world's leading chip manufacturers. As a Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will guide engineers through complex technical challenges, support the development of next-generation products, and create an environment where individuals and teams can do their best work. You will work closely with cross-functional partners across systems, electrical engineering, controls, software, manufacturing, quality, and product management to bring innovative ideas from concept to production.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 7+ years of experience developing mechanical or electromechanical products in a technical environment.
- Experience leading engineering projects, mentoring engineers, or providing technical leadership.
- Demonstrated success designing complex systems, subsystems, or assemblies.
- Strong understanding of product development from concept through production release.
- Experience with 3D CAD and PLM tools (Creo/Windchill or equivalent).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- A leader who enjoys developing people as much as solving technical challenges.
