About the role
The Tender Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the overall technical coordination and management during the tender phase of large or complex projects. These projects may involve HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) technology on offshore platforms and require collaboration with multiple stakeholders worldwide. The Tender Engineering Manager is acting as as a HVDC Technical Bid Leader an the primary technical point of contact with the customer. This role ensures that all technical aspects of the tender are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer requirements. The Tender Engineering Manager also leads the development of optimal technical solutions and manages the technical risks and opportunities throughout the tender process.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related fields
- Minimum 10 years experience in HVDC system, FACTS, industrial, renewable.
- Experience in the HVDC/Grid Solution Integration industry is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability and willingness to travel worldwide up to 20% or more of the time.
- Mastering of some engineering processes such as: Civil work, Plant Engineering, control &protection hardware, System & performance studies, or Electrical design.
- Experience with relevant standards and codes including IEC 62351, IEEE 1588, IEEE 802, IEEE 1402, IEC 62351, IEC 62501, and NERC CIP,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence others, and clearly present complex messages.
