The US Payroll Manager is the senior operational leader for all US payroll activity, serving as the primary point of escalation and decision-making during US business hours. This role removes time-zone dependency on the Global Payroll Director by owning end-to-end delivery across 5 legal entities, leading a team of 3 specialists, and driving continuous improvement across processes, compliance, and systems.
What you'll bring
- Required Experience & Qualifications
- 7+ years of US payroll experience, including multi-state and multi-entity environments
- 2+ years in a supervisory or team lead role with direct people management responsibility
- Deep knowledge of US federal and state payroll tax law, wage and hour regulations, and year-end compliance
- Hands-on experience with enterprise payroll systems (Workday Payroll)
- Experience operating within SOX-controlled environments
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) and Workday Payroll certification necessary
- Multi-state payroll tax expertise
- Payroll system administration
- SOX controls and audit readiness
- Year-end reconciliation and W-2
- Excel / data analysis proficiency
