About the role
We have an opening for a Craft Supervisor (Deployed Team Responsible Individual), assigned to the Alarms Group within the Infrastructure Maintenance and Utilities Department (IMUD) in the Infrastructure & Operations Directorate (I&O). You will provide significant technical and administrative guidance and be responsible for managing and directing the day-to-day activities of skilled trades including establishing priorities, setting up schedules and coordinating work. This position may require working at Site 300 located in Tracy, California. This position requires full-time on-site presence due to the nature of the work. This position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance. If you are selected, we will initiate a Federal background investigation to determine if you meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or matter. Also, all L or Q cleared employees are subject to random drug testing. Q-level clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
What you'll bring
- Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Extensive journey-level knowledge, abilities, and work experience in a relevant skilled trade or equivalent experience in maintenance and/or construction.
- Technical, administrative, and supervisory skills and experience including independent decision making, problem solving, workload scheduling, and workforce utilization.
- Ability to interpret and implement personnel policies and procedures, disciplinary actions, and complete performance appraisals.
- Ability to provide effective direction and flexibility to adjust work activities to meet changing requirements as well as motivate, train, develop, and provide guidance with an emphasis on teamwork.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience in the application of safety policies and procedures, including Work Control and evaluating work hazards and establishing safety standards to assure the public, worker, and environment are protected from adverse consequences.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of technical and administrative personnel.
- Proficiency in using personal computers and related software programs and applications.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid California Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of the function and operation of typical security policies and procedures for nuclear, sensitive, or limited-access facilities.
- This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
