About the role
Renesas is seeking a Director of Product Quality to lead quality improvement initiatives specifically geared towards new product development and volume ramp up to deliver on time high quality and ramp ready products that customer timelines and expectations. In this role, you will help drive Renesas product quality to achieve zero-defect mindset. This position will report to the Power Strategy and Technology Organization and will directly support the Performance Computing Power (PCP) business division. This role will collaborate closely with NPI execution teams, PMO office, Renesas R&D Engineering, Quality teams, enterprise foundation and factory Operations teams. This role will collaborate closely with NPI execution teams, PMO office, Renesas R&D Engineering, Quality teams, enterprise foundation and factory Operations teams. The PCP team product development portfolio includes digital multiphase controllers; smart power stages and 48v system power regulators all geared towards rapidly growing AI hyperscale data center market. During development, teams are expected to ship large volume samples and prepare for steep vertical ramps while maintaining stringent quality standards necessary for the data center applications making this role critical for their sucess
What you'll bring
- 10+ years of experience in product development or quality engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills, organizational, and people skills, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Solid understanding of new product development process and associated quality standards and business processes, semiconductor supply chain and production environments
- Expertise with statistical analysis, structured problem-solving methodologies – 8D, 3x5 Why, and making data-driven decisions
- Ability to manage supplier excursions and drive resolution of customer escalations
- Knowledge of commercial and automotive quality standards
- Master`s degree Preferred
