About the role
The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors Center is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to support the Sensors Warfighter Support Team onsite at Schriever AFB in Colorado Springs, CO. You will also be part of the broader Systems Engineering Directorate, which develops and maintains high‑fidelity performance simulations, performs system performance analysis (including pre‑flight prediction and post‑flight matching), supports new business initiatives, and contributes to technology roadmaps. In this role, you will join a small, highly collaborative team operating in a dynamic environment and performing a wide variety of technical and operational support tasks. You will work directly with multiple warfighter communities, providing critical expertise related to Missile Defense System (MDS) sensors.
What you'll bring
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience working with radar systems, within the Missile Defense System and/or related fields.
- Advanced degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Strong communication skills with tactical users, engineering teams, senior military leaders, and corporate leadership.
- Experience supporting missions or business needs through domestic and/or international travel.
- Experience with the AN/TPY-2 radar.
- Missile Defense experience, including knowledge of MDA elements and fielding configurations.
- Prior hands‑on experience with radar analysis.
- Prior military experience.
