About the role
The Manager of Individual Giving & Development Operations is a key member of the JFCS Development team responsible for strengthening the organization's annual fundraising program, donor stewardship infrastructure, and individual giving strategy. This position bridges fundraising operations , strategy and frontline donor engagement, ensuring that systems, data, and stewardship practices support meaningful donor relationships and sustainable philanthropic growth. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Manager will oversee the annual fund , optimize donor management systems and processes, develop donor stewardship and move - management strategies, and manage a portfolio of individual donors. As part of a small, collaborative fundraising team, the Manager will work closely with colleagues across leadership and development to support donor acquisition, retention, engagement, and revenue growth from individual and institutional donors .
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree required in business administration, nonprofit management, communications, or other related fields.
- Minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience related to fundraising, annual fund management a nd individual giving.
- Knowledge of and experience with fundraising techniques and best practices, including moves management, direct mail, and online giving programs.
- Demonstrated experience working with fundraising CRMs and donor management systems.
- Experience managing donor portfolios and cultivating individual donor relationships.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- adept at problem solving and sound judgment.
- Excellent organizational skills and d emonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multi-phase projects from inceptio n to completion, including balancing multiple concurrent priorities.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret fundraising data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Experience supervising staff and the ability to collaborate across teams and build consensus.
- Ability to travel independently to meet with prospects, donors, and community partners.
