About the role

The Facilities Generalist is a hands-on member of Pike’s Facilities team who helps ensure a safe, clean, well-maintained, and welcoming campus for students, employees, families, and visitors. This position performs a wide range of building maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial, event support, and campus safety responsibilities, adapting to changing daily and seasonal needs. Groundskeeping is a significant focus of the role during the spring, summer, and fall months.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• broad hands-on maintenance experience strongly valued.
• Working knowledge of common tools, equipment, preventive maintenance practices, and safe work procedures.
• Ability to perform routine and semi-skilled repairs, identify maintenance needs, follow written and verbal instructions, and exercise sound judgment about when to escalate an issue.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage changing priorities, and communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required for operation of School vehicles/equipment, as applicable.
• Availability for occasional overtime, early morning, evening, weekend, holiday, emergency, and weather-related work.
• Prior experience in facilities, building maintenance, grounds, custodial work, construction trades, or a related field preferred
