About the role

Northern Trust is seeking an experienced AI Full Stack Cloud Engineer to design, build, deploy, and support enterprise AI solutions across the Digital Coworkers ecosystem and Generative AI Foundation Platform (GAI). This role combines full stack application development, cloud engineering, AI integration, platform engineering, and enterprise solution delivery. The successful candidate will develop scalable, secure, and governed AI-powered business solutions leveraging cloud-native technologies, large language models, enterprise APIs, workflow automation capabilities, and Digital Coworker frameworks. The individual will work closely with AI Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Product Managers, Technical Account Managers, Architects, Scrum Masters, and business stakeholders to accelerate AI adoption and deliver measurable business value across Northern Trust. What you'll bring

• ·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Software Development, or a related discipline
• equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• ·       7+ years of software engineering experience supporting enterprise applications.
• ·       5+ years of cloud engineering experience supporting Azure or comparable cloud platforms.
• ·       Demonstrated experience designing and developing APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• ·       Experience building enterprise applications using modern software engineering practices.
• ·       Strong experience collaborating across engineering, architecture, operations, security, and business teams.
• ·       Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• ·       Ability to operate effectively in a regulated enterprise environment with governance, controls, auditability, and operational readiness expectations.
• ·       Experience working independently while managing multiple priorities and deliverables.
• ·       Experience supporting enterprise AI platforms and AI-enabled business solutions.
• ·       Experience building AI-powered applications using Microsoft AI services.
