The Pokémon Company International manages the Pokémon property outside of Asia and is responsible for brand management, licensing and marketing, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the animated TV series, home entertainment, and the official Pokémon website. Pokémon was launched in Japan in 1996 and today is one of the most popular children’s entertainment properties in the world. Job Summary: The Corporate Accountant will support month-end close coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement initiatives to help ensure a timely and accurate financial close. As a member of the General Accounting team, this position will also support fixed asset, lease, SG&A, and cash management accounting activities.

What you'll bring

• Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant professional experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise supporting and coordinating month-end close processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proven ability to independently manage accounting processes, priorities, and deadlines while balancing recurring responsibilities with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience building partnerships and influencing cross-functional stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and complex accounting issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation and/or public accounting experience.
• Accounting systems experience in Oracle Fusion, ARCS, EPM, FCCS, and Crunchafi.
• Experience with data analytics, automation, AI-enabled business processes, or reporting optimization.
