About the role
Under the supervision of the Department Chair of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science and/or designated associate department chairs, the Academic Advisor position will provide academic advising for undergraduate students majoring in the chemical engineering program, provide advising support for graduate students, and assist with related academic and departmental administrative matters. This position will be four (4) days on campus and one (1) day working from home. The current on campus days are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

- Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to develop rapport with and positively influence a diverse audience.
- Ability to partner with leadership to develop strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality work on deadline while managing multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree
- Preferred Experience: Familiarity with chemical engineering and materials science programs.
