About the role

Commerce Bank is seeking a commissioned law enforcement officer in Kansas City, MO,  to join our security team in providing security for our downtown Kansas City campus, and at any of our branch locations located in the city limits of Kansas City, MO.

What you'll bring

• Familiarity with security technologies, including video surveillance systems (CCTV) and alarm systems (intrusion, fire, panic alarms)
• Ability to work the assignment as scheduled and allow for some flexibility as situations and circumstances arise
• Ability to remain calm and act appropriately in high-pressure or emergency situations
• Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and respond to emergencies for extended periods of time, and assist with evacuations or physical interventions as necessary
• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
• Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
• Commissioned law enforcement officer with the Kansas City, MO Police Department required with commensurate training and qualifications to carry a firearm
• 2+ years of active law enforcement experience, with a strong understanding of security operations and emergency response required
• Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques required
