About the role
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to architect and maintain the infrastructure foundation that powers our autonomous vehicle orchestration platform. You'll own the deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and security frameworks that enable our engineering teams to deliver software across AWS cloud, on-premises data centers, and edge computing environments on autonomous vehicles. This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and compliant infrastructure systems rather than machine learning operations. You'll work closely with our engineering teams to ensure rapid, reliable deployments while meeting stringent DoD security requirements and maintaining operational resilience in contested environments.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation
- Expert-level proficiency with Docker containerization and container orchestration concepts
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, S3, VPC, IAM,
- CloudFormation/Terraform)
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipeline design and implementation (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
- Understanding of security best practices for enterprise and government environments
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar)
- Strong scripting abilities in Python, Bash, or similar languages
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance
- CompTIA Security+ and Network+ certifications (required for DoD infrastructure administration)
