When you join Ames, you’re joining a company built for long-term success, where skilled people, strong teams, and disciplined execution come together to build careers and a better future. ssential Duties and Responsibilities • Safely operate a water truck on construction sites and public roadways. • Apply water for dust control and soil compaction as directed by supervisors. • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment. • Monitor water levels and refill the truck as needed. • Follow all company safety policies and site-specific requirements. • Maintain accurate vehicle inspection and maintenance records. • Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and crew members. • Assist with general labor duties when water truck operation is not required. • Report equipment issues, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately. • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle. Qualifications • Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record. • Previous experience operating a water truck preferred. • Ability to safely operate equipment in a construction environment. • Strong understanding of construction site safety practices. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. Physical Requirements • Frequently climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and walk on uneven terrain. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment. • Ability to work in dusty, noisy, and changing weather conditions. Pay Range: $35.00 - $37.00 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skill level. Ames Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
