About the role

Halo is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our HR team in Chicago. This hybrid (3 days/week in office) opportunity is ideal for someone with ADP payroll experience who also has a passion for helping employees understand and utilize their benefits. You will play an important role in our HR function, managing benefits and payroll for ~100 employees, while also being a resource for employees and managers in support of Halo's culture. You will play an important role in our HR function, managing benefits and payroll for ~100 employees, while also being a resource for employees and managers in support of Halo's culture.

What you'll bring

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years' experience handling payroll and employee benefits
  • Experience with payroll processes and procedures, with prior experience managing payroll for a salaried population in ADP Workforce Now
  • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • able to analyze data and identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively support employees
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, exercising appropriate judgment to escalate as needed
