About the role

PACK RAT DRIVER – JOB DESCRIPTION   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensure customers are being serviced as scheduled in a timely and professional manner. • Ensure trucks and forklifts are being maintained properly and in accordance with Company procedures. • Ensure proper maintenance of facility and storage units. • Work overtime as needed to ensure customer transactions are completed. • Assist in the loading and unloading trucks. • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines • Perform vehicle pre-maintenance checks and report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles before and after route. • Check the condition of the load and that it is securely fastened • Maintain cleanliness of all trucks/workspace/ company equipment • Warehouse duties as needed   QUALIFICATIONS: Education – High School diploma required. Experience • Minimum 1-year customer service experience. • Minimum 1-year route and/or warehouse experience preferred. • Required Forklift Experience Important Personal Characteristics • Passion for customer service. • Enthusiasm and energy. • Organized. • Professional appearance and demeanor. • Ability to perform with little or no supervision. Specialized knowledge and/or licenses • Good driving record   • Class A, B or D license (Valid clean drivers license) • Knowledge of area   PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard and telephone number pad. • Ability to sit for extended periods. • Ability to stand for up to two hours. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels. • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed. • People skills, reliable, and customer-oriented • Able to work well with others but also independently when required • Punctual, reliable, and responsible • Able to work 6 days per week, Monday through Saturday • Able to begin work at 7:15 a. m. and work until the job is completed • Able to read a map • Required to wear company uniform Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Please attach front and back of valid driver license  Social Security Card DOT Medical Card
