As a Director on the Global Enterprise Communications team, you will serve as a strategic counselor to senior enterprise executives, driving integrated communications, spanning functional communications, internal associate engagement, and targeted external campaigns, that align business priorities and bolster Capital One’s reputation. You will lead a high-performing team, elevate our internal communications framework, and partner across complex corporate functions to deliver measurable impact. This position requires exceptional leadership, intellectual curiosity, judgment, teamwork, and results focus. An open mind and a passion for finding creative new ways to solve problems and deliver results are essential to the success of this role.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience
• At least 8 years of communications experience
• Experience designing and executing integrated communications strategies including both high-impact executive and internal associate engagement, as well as external campaigns.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience, with a proven track record of coaching and developing communications talent.
• Track record of serving as a trusted strategic counselor to senior functional executives in complex, matrixed, or highly regulated environments.
• Public Relations or Communications experience in financial services, technology, or consumer brands.

• Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
• Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
• Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
• Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
