About the role
RATE OF PAY: $65,000 to $67,000 per year; DOE Under administrative direction, provides professional counseling services to students including clinical assessment, care coordination, crisis management, group therapy, and after hours on call support. Additionally, this role develops training opportunities for bachelors or masters level students, and provides supervision for training in effort of expanded care for students. This professional role also serves as a consultant to university constituents or family who reach out to the counseling center with concerns for a student. Counselors engage in work that aligns with their expertise to benefit the mental health of the student body. This position is considered safety/security sensitive and will include a fingerprint check. Employment is contingent upon successful passing of the fingerprint check.
What you'll bring
- Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field
- OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Evidence of an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD or PhD independent licensure in Arizona.
- Evidence of AZBBHE board approved supervisor.
- Demonstrated knowledge of methods, techniques, and procedures of mental health counseling and related services.
- Experience in crisis assessment, intervention, and coordination of emergent care.
- Experience in delivering group therapy services to young adults.
- Experience in consultation and outreach.
