About the role

As a Staff Backend Software Engineer at LVT, you will serve as a primary technical authority driving the design, performance, and scaling of our core backend architecture. This role is based onsite at our American Fork headquarters.

What you'll bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience centered on complex backend systems, cloud services, and API development.
• 3+ years of hands-on production experience architecting, building, and maintaining enterprise Node.js and TypeScript services.
• Demonstrated expertise in OpenAPI/REST API design and hands-on experience building or optimizing GraphQL queries and mutations.
• Familiarity with modern framework ecosystems (e.g., NestJS) and containerized deployment workflows utilizing Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven experience guiding cross-functional technical teams, establishing engineering culture, and driving process improvements within Agile environments.
• Obsessive commitment to system reliability, operational quality, thorough testing, and robust root-cause problem solving.
• Highly effective communication skills with the versatility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and pivot rapidly between priorities.
• Proficiency with relational databases and modern database query optimization.
• SQL experience preferred
