About the role
KPFF Los Angeles is always on the lookout for motivated and energetic experienced civil engineers. We continuously accept applications and review candidates for positions as they become available. Applications should include resume and cover letter. Candidates will work on a wide variety of interesting and collaborative projects with substantial growth opportunity.
What you'll bring
- Candidates must have at least eight years’ experience in site development, plus engineering, project management, and planning experience.
- This position requires a B.S. degree or higher, a California P.E. license, and a minimum of five years of experience.
- We require experience with sustainable design practices, meeting Low Impact Development (LID) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) goals, and proven ability to prepare SUSMPs, SWPPPs, and WQMPs.
- Ability to visit job sites to inspect existing conditions and envision potential scope of work requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time at a desk working on a computer and viewing a screen.
- Ability to apply established engineering principles to solve problems and/or overcome obstacles using sound judgement, independent decision making, and prolonged focus
- Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to focus on client satisfaction, possess high-level communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in training, developing, and supporting staff, and have experience working in a cooperative team environment.
