About the role

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

What you'll bring

  • Knowledge of safety procedures for working on ladders scaffolds and lifts.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations as it may pertain to OSHA standards.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff
  • Ability to multi-task in a time sensitive environment
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Trade or vocational school graduate with New York City Electrical Code & NFPA 70E certificate.
  • Three year’s experience in trades
  • electricians’ apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training.
  • Understanding of safe working practices and procedures.
  • Ability to  utilize lock out-tag out procedures for all energy sources (electrical, thermal, hydraulic, hydronic).Ability to demonstrate and safely operate all hand tools, power tools, fittings, materials, measuring instruments and meters, and equipment utilized by facilities and repair.
