About the role
The primary role of a Science teacher is responsible for being effective in promoting scientific literacy, science teachers must be well prepared in their subject areas, have a firm understanding of the nature of science, and stay abreast of current technological advances affecting society. Science teachers must engage students in the science revolution by relating it to their lives CANO Schools offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience and a comprehensive benefits package. What you'll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (required)
- Proven experience using all Microsoft Applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Google Applications (Email/Drive)
- Proven record demonstrating strong classroom management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Required to work daily between the hours of 8:05 am - 3:45 pm Monday - Friday and some weekends
- Proven commitment to provide an outstanding education for the students of Community Academies of New Orleans, Inc
- Willing and able to carry out the mission and model the values of Community Academies of New Orleans
- Two or more years of teaching experience in specific area of teaching and/or general area based on grade level (preferred)
