About the role
The Biomed Equipment Technology Specialist provides technical guidance and mentoring for other employees in the department. This job coordinates special projects and performs specialized technical tasks. This job maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Plan and the Biomedical Technology Services Program.This job also performs a variety of tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of complex biomedical equipment.
What you'll bring
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience or military training may be substituted.
- HighSchool Diploma or equivalent.
- Conducts repairs according to procedures.
- Maintain inventory and par levels of all instruments and supplies.
- Follows OSHA and TJC guidelines.
- Experience PREFERRED: Proficient in all skills required for a BMET I and BMET II (see BMET I & II Job Description).
